Just before the Civil War, Syria was a regional leader in BASIC EDUCATION. However, during & after the war one of the many social structures that has suffered is EDUCATION. Many of the schools have been destroyed by airstrikes from the opposition but yet some have managed their way around the destructive turmoil. Because Syrians value education, despite the airstrikes & bombing some of the teachers continued the children’s education by setting up makeshift classrooms in caves where it was proven as the best place against airstrikes.
Most of you probably agree with me that the only way to lift people out of poverty is to EDUCATE them. In order to help the Syrian Refugees rebuild their lives, they need to focus on EDUCATING their children. Why is EDUCATION vital to these children? By educating these children it will help them to learn skills, build confidence & critical thinking. As they reach adolescense, it will also improve their chance at earning an income which will help them move out of poverty.
