This is Amina's home.  The picture below shows the entrance to her home and besides her home is an open sewage.  Each time the rain falls sewage water fills her house with sewage water.  The roof of her house leaks due to rust damage.  To prevent rainwater from coming into her home we raised the entrance of her home with cement and we replaced her leaking roof.

ROHINGYAN SHELTER PROJECT

Picture

IMAGINE FOR A MOMENT YOU WERE A REFUGEE

Imagine if you were living in a country and was forced to flee due to war?  Where would you find food & shelter?
What would it be like not knowing when & how you would be displaced?

These situations may be a challenge for each of us to imagine well, but very sadly it is a reality right now for the Rohingyan Refugees who have fled their countries to protect themselves from the atrocities of the Myanmar Armies.

The Rohingyans are currently fighting to return to their home country for their rights to citizenship. However in the mids of this they are also fighting to survive in Bangladesh. The lack of food, shelter, clean water and proper sanitation has lead these helpless people to live in poor living conditions.

THEY ARE DESPERATE & THEY NEED OUR HELP

THIS IS A SHELTER DONATION APPEAL
FOR OUR DEAR BROTHERS & SISTERS (ROHINGYANS)

This Rohingyan Emergency is not short term, it will take years for a resolution before they can go back to their home country.  In the meantime as they wait...they need our help.  With UN agencies, INGO and local NGOs helping them, yet this is still not enough when you have to deal with millions of people that have crossed over from Myanmar to Bangladesh with so little.

THEY NEED OUR HELP NOW

Every minute counts for their survival, so we ask on behalf of Forgotten People Organization to please help us, help them by DONATING to this cause so we can give them the basic survival needs such as food, clean water, sanitation & shelter.

HOWEVER AT THE MOMENT THEY ARE IN DESPERATE NEED OF SHELTERS

With our local ngo partner SPACE on ground at kutopalong, Cox's Bazar,
we are ready to provide emergency assistance to these refugees along with your help.

The video below shows most of them living in makeshift tents made of plastic sheeting and bamboo shoots.

The pictures & video were sent in from Mr. Mohammed (Rohingyan Refugee) who contacted Mr. Ahmed Rana (Cricket of America, Founder) & myself (Aisha Hassan) through facebook back in July, 2018.  They are desperately seeking shelters, that's all.

These are Mr Mohammed's words .........

Please help us to get proper shelters.  When we came to Bangladesh we had nothing with us except the clothes that we wear.  There was no time to pack things as we had to run fast to save our lives from the Myanmar armies.  They raped our women, burned & beheaded our fathers, brothers & children.  There was no time to take anything with us.  We are facing so much difficulties here in Bangladesh.  We are lacking food, clean water, proper sanitation & proper shelters.  Foods are being distributed but proper shelters are not being made for many areas of the camps.

WE JUST WANT A PLACE TO LIVE, PLEASE HELP US!!!

These pictures are their current shelters.  These shelters have been destroyed by the monsoon rain and they are unable to live in these shelters properly.  Their shelters have holes on the roof thus causing rain to come inside their homes.  They are unable to sleep on the ground as the water has entered their homes from the leaking roof & water seeping from all sides of the plastic sheeting.

ROHINGYAN SHELTERS PROGRAM

FPO'S Rohingyan Shelter project has been completed during the 1st quarter of (2019) and Families are currently residing in their homes.
