Forgotten People Organization channels ZAKAT and SADAQA to areas of utmost need, adhering to a straightforward approach: "Make a difference in people's lives, one project at a time." Our ongoing initiative focuses on Adam Jee Camp in Dhaka, Bangladesh and Pakistanis are have been forgotten since the 1971 separation war between EAST & WEST Pakistan.

What is Zakat?

ZAKAT is an obligatory payment made annually under Islamic law on certain kinds of property and used for charitable and religious purposes.

"And establish prayer and give zakat, and whatever good you put forward for yourselves - you will find it with Allah. Indeed, Allah of what you do, is Seeing."  ​

What is Sadaqa?

SADAQA is the concept of voluntary (charity) giving in Islam.  It is different from zakat, in that it is not obligatory on any kind of surplus wealth.

"For those who give in Charity, men and women, and loan to Allah a Beautiful Loan, it shall be increased manifold (to their credit), and they shall have (besides) a liberal reward."   As described in the Holy Qur’an  as ‘a beautiful loan’, sadaqah is an act of charitable giving done out of compassion, love, friendship or generosity.
